Job summary

Charles River Development, part of STATE STREET CORPORATION, seeks a Business Analyst to work with clients and development to improve the CRD Investment Management System and investment accounting workflows.

You will become a CRD product expert and help translate business needs into functional specifications while contributing across the full software development lifecycle in a feature-focused team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development lifecycle experience with Agile preferred.
  • Experience in middle office investment management and investment accounting functions.
  • Strong writing skills to produce functional and technical specifications.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements for开发 teams.

Responsibilities

  • Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development.
  • Research and produce business and technical requirement documents.
  • Work directly with customers and product management to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications; involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle.
  • Participate in Agile SCRUM process including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

ob DescriptionWhat we are looking forThe Chares River Development Middle Office team is looking to hire a Business Analyst who will be responsible for working with clients and development to create solutions to improve the client experience, the product feature set, and the strategic position of the CRD Investment Management System. The Business Analyst will become a Charles River product expert and help to ensure that our software products effectively aid our end users with their middle office workflows. The Business Analyst will focus on investment accounting products, participating in the full software development lifecycle and contributing as a member of a feature-focused product development team. Together with State Street’s middle and back office capabilities, Charles River’s cloud-deployed software technology forms the foundation of State Street Alpha℠What you are responsible forResponsibilities:Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product developmentResearch and produce business and technical requirement documentsWork directly with customers and product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications; involvement in all aspects of the software product life cyclePartner with development to help develop, implement, and refine featuresPlan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processesProvide feedback on product performanceReview documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentationProvide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releasesAssist with the management of project schedules and deliverablesAssist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issuesActively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.Participate in group testing activities as needed.Requirements:5 + years of software development lifecycle experience, particularly Agile methodologies preferredStrong experience with middle office investment management and investment accounting functionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skillsAdvanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed informationStrong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting dataAbility to translate customer business needs into application requirementsStrong technical backgroundDemonstrated planning and scheduling skillsCuriosity and interest in financial markets and trading.Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documentsKnowledgeable in one or more CRD functional financial areas strongly desired.Education: BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or study of Business with an MIS background.
