Position Overview

As a Business Analysis Advisor within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on operational excellence, workforce analytics, and optimization of routines supporting the Global Capabilities Center (GCC). This position blends traditional business analysis with strategic workforce insights, driving internal improvement initiatives, enabling visibility across workstreams, and supporting informed decision‑making for leaders and hiring managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support technology workforce strategy, routines, and operations with an emphasis on internal efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Actively monitor workforce trends, performance indicators, and progress toward goals to enhance visibility and transparency for leadership.
  • Lead requirement‑gathering sessions to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Organize stakeholder inputs, synthesize points of view, and structure problem‑solving approaches for mini‑projects and ongoing workstreams.
  • Provide analytical insights that inform course corrections, risk identification, and opportunities for operational enhancements.
  • Conduct workforce data analysis, including trend identification, metric tracking, and multi‑dimensional reporting to support strategic workforce decisions.
  • Deliver insights to CIO‑aligned business offices and internal teams to support hiring managers and operational partners.
  • Identify and drive improvements across processes, reporting routines, and operational workflows.
  • Support efforts to streamline technology workforce operations and strengthen governance across the GCC.
  • Collaborate closely with business offices supporting CIOs and internal Technology team leaders.
  • Facilitate clear communication across teams, ensuring alignment on analytics, insights, and operational priorities.
Job Description Highlights
  • Directs research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements; develops and reviews complex processes and procedures, workflow analytics and reporting.
  • Provides senior‑level consultation and communicates with clients and technology teams on business designs, problem‑solving and business analysis to support project goals.
  • Recommends frameworks, methodologies and processes for business requirements traceability; mentors and coaches other associates.
  • Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with experts and stakeholders to articulate requirements.
  • Leads multiple business analysis project management processes through planning, quality assurance and effectiveness assessment; directs successful deployment of projects.
  • Drives development, analysis and distribution of complex reporting.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions).
  • Familiarity with Power Platform or PowerApps (preferred).
  • Excellent requirement‑gathering, documentation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous information and create clear, actionable output.
  • Strong attention to detail and active monitoring mindset.
  • Ability to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate analytics into business insights.
  • Background in operations, business analysis or technology workforce analytics preferred.
  • Experience supporting technology or CIO organizations or working with global capability centers or distributed workforce models preferred.
Qualifications

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. Requirements include:

  • University or college degree with 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
  • Certifications are desirable; a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s) and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Relevant work experience: roles at this level typically require a bachelor's degree.
Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $119,600.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
