Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a motivated intern/entry-level professional to join the Regional Controller’s group in a hands-on finance and accounting environment. You will support weekly and monthly performance reporting, participate in inventory checks, and assist in improving internal reporting formats and analyses.

You will gain exposure to multiple finance functions, benefit from mentorship, and build practical experience across a respected national contractor.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting.
• Advanced MS Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and vlookup.
• Proficient with MS PowerPoint and spreadsheet use.
• Strong academic record and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Regional Management Dashboard: weekly/monthly/YTD reporting.
• Self-audits to ensure policy compliance.
• Track plant inventory quantities.
• Improve internal reports via queries and pivot tables.
• Conduct loss bid analyses.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.

Education
