Job summary

Goodyear in Concord, CA is hiring a bus tire technician to join our Leasing team. The role focuses on safety, tire reliability, and customer service, performing in customer tire shops and collaborating with customer staff. No prior experience is required; we provide vocational on-the-job training.

The position offers competitive hourly pay ($29.00-$30.00/hr), comprehensive benefits, 401(k), paid vacation, and tuition assistance. You must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred.
• Commercial tire experience preferred.
• Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods, including heavy lifting.
• Commitment to following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work performed at customer location designated tire shop, alongside customers mechanics with a focus on ensuring that tires are reliable and safe.
• Collaborate with assigned administrators and customer staff to accurately document work performed.
• Maintain customer tire inventory from cradle to grave and everything in between by utilizing best inventory management practices.
• Monitor tire maintenance through periodic tire inspections, utilizing specialized software and a combination of electronic digital devices.
• Maintain and repair all customer tires according to industry standards.
• Perform dynamic tire balancing, tire and wheel assembly changes, regrooving, inflation maintenance, utilizing best in class tire related machinery.
• Maintain shop safety and cleanness through good housekeeping practices.
