Job summary

Regional Economic Community Action Program Inc. is seeking a Floater Monitor Aide / Bus Monitor to transport Head Start children safely and support classrooms and program functions.

The role includes maintaining passenger records, supervising children on the bus, and ensuring proper release to authorized individuals. When not on transportation duties, you may assist with classroom activities, reception, and health and sanitation tasks as part of Head Start operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3–5 preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families and staff.
• Valid New York State driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ride the Head Start school bus with children to and from program locations.
• Maintain order and supervision of children on the bus.
• Maintain an accurate daily passenger list and account for children entering/exiting.
• Assist children boarding/exiting the bus and ensure release to authorized individuals.
• Support classroom activities, reception, food preparation, health/sanitation, and program functions as assigned.
