Job summary

LIFT Community Action Agency, Inc. seeks a Full-Time Transit Driver Floater to operate buses and motor coaches on regular routes and private carriage. The role supports passenger safety, assists with ADA needs, and complies with pre-employment drug testing requirements. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, driving on schedules, assisting passengers, reporting delays, and maintaining accurate trip records per USDOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver License.
• USDOT Physical with 1–2 year certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and check gas, oil and water levels before departure.
• Drive vehicles on scheduled routes to transport passengers while obeying traffic laws.
• Assist passengers with carry-on items and collect tickets or fares.
• Report delays or accidents; ensure passengers are seated and safe.
• Regulate heating, lighting and ventilation for passenger comfort.
• Perform safety inspections and ADA assistance as needed.
• Complete required trip and timesheet records per USDOT.
