DeKalb Health is seeking an Operations Manager for Bus Operations to oversee daily transit services at the Lewisville/Lewisville area facility. The role requires supervising Coach Operators and Operations Supervisors, ensuring on-time performance and safety across all shifts.
The candidate must possess a 4-year degree and a minimum of five years in public transit operations, with at least two years in a managerial capacity. A valid passenger coach license and clean driving record are required.

The Operations Manager manages the daily transportation operations personally or through subordinate supervisors and Coach Operators. Incumbents must be available to work all days and all hours where services are performed, including holidays and all shifts.

Manages Operations Supervisors and Coach Operators alongside Director of Bus Operations. Counsels, supervises and evaluates the performance of supervisors and operators and other department subordinates; issues disciplinary warnings and assists in grievance procedures. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's values, policies and applicable laws. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Must be 21 years of age or older. Bachelors' Degree in administration, transportation, or related field. Five years of experience in public transit operations. Two years of management experience (one of which should be in a public transit/transportation environment), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of one year as a coach operator preferred. Previous supervision of a represented workforce highly desired. Requires proper license(s) with endorsements and certifications to operate a passenger motor coach. Must possess a safe driving record.
