Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a SPED School Bus Monitor to supervise students during bus transport for the 2026-27 year. The role includes aiding with boarding, ensuring wheelchair and seat restraints, and reporting changes to supervisors. The candidate must meet background checks and possess a High School Diploma or GED.

The position is an independent contractor arrangement with flexible hours. You’ll join a nationwide referral network and gain exposure to a variety of educational opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass background & fingerprint clearances.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English.
• Ability to maneuver effectively in a school bus and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to perform front/back door evacuations and CPR/first aid.

Responsibilities

• Ride the school bus to supervise students and ensure safe transport.
• Assist students with safe boarding, including wheelchair/seat restraints.
• Manage students with communication and discipline per policy and report needs to supervisor.
• Maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, and the public.

• Monday thru Friday - morning and afternoon coverage required 6a-9a & 2p-5p

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

The School Bus Aide will ride the bus and help ensure students are transported safely and efficiently from one location to another. Meet and assist students with safe boarding including following all wheelchair and seat restraint guidelines. Exercise student management through communication and discipline according to school policy and report any difficulties or changes in students’ needs to supervisor. Maintain positive relationships with other employees, parents, and public.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must pass background & fingerprint clearances
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English
• Ability to maneuver effectively in a school bus and lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to physically perform a front and back door bus evacuation and to perform CPR and first aid techniques on the ground or floor
• Ability to walk the equivalent of at least one mile daily
