Job summary

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) in Baltimore is hiring an A-Repairman-Bus to inspect and repair motor coaches and related units. This role requires the ability to diagnose issues and perform heavy maintenance with minimal supervision.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, three years of full-time experience repairing heavy vehicles, and own hand tools. A valid Maryland driver's license and Class A CDL with P endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Possession of high school diploma or equivalency (GED) recognized by the State of Maryland.
• Experience: Three (3) year of full-time experience repairing, maintaining, or inspecting heavy vehicles and equipment; tractor trailers or passenger buses and their components and systems.
• Applicant should be familiar with fleet garage environment and must have own hand tools to perform the functions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, maintain, diagnose, and correct conditions on motor coaches and related units.
• Operate emergency trucks and handle situations interfering with MTA operations as needed.
• Perform overhaul, welding, machine services, and component replacement as required with minimal supervision.
