Job summary

Rush Truck Center in Arlington seeks an Experienced Bus Service Technician to service vehicles and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include engine overhauls, installation of parts, and thorough inspections.

Prior experience with Bluebird, Collins, or similar bus brands is highly preferred. The role offers competitive pay with opportunities for training and growth within Rush Bus Centers, a major network across the US.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, and other parts.
• Read job orders and assess vehicle operation to plan work procedures.
• Ensure safety devices and guards are in place and functioning.
• Test drive to verify conformance to specifications.
• Attend training and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Build positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
