Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• CDL license preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Obeys ALL traffic laws
• Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
• Makes sure teachers/chaperones and students are aware of bus rules
• Keeps assigned bus clean
• Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects
• Checks bus after each operation to ensure all students have exited
• Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness
• Report all accidents and complete required reports
• Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on bus
• Participates in all required professional training and follows all procedures as trained annually
• Complies with all Rome Board of Education policies and administrative procedures

REQUIREMENTS
