Job summary

Kent School District is seeking Bus Driver Trainees for temporary positions that require training and eventual certification. The candidate will earn $17.13 per hour during training and can earn $31.22 - $36.87/hour as a substitute bus driver.

Responsibilities include safely transporting students, maintaining order on the bus, and adhering to all traffic laws. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and be willing to undergo a drug test.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have less than 3 moving violations in the past 5 years.
• Must be able to acquire a valid Washington State CDL license.
• Must meet all health and agility requirements and pass drug tests.
• Must keep all certifications current.
• Experience driving large vehicles is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Follow assigned route schedules and maintain student discipline.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and keep bus interiors clean.
