Job summary

New Hanover County Schools in Wilmington, North Carolina seeks permanent or substitute bus drivers to ensure safe transportation of students on assigned routes. Positions are 10 months, with routes and schedules designed for reliability and efficiency.

Starting pay is $18.87/hour for permanent drivers and substitutes. Full benefits if working 30+ hours per week; partial benefits at 20 hours. CDL with P&S endorsements and a school bus certificate are required.

Job Description

Permanent bus drivers are eligible for a $1000 sign-on bonus.

This is a permanent, 10 month position providing safe and efficient transportation of students over a specified route, according to a time schedule, for curriculum and extra-curricular activities. There are full and part time positions available. Requires a valid CDL with P and S endorsements with school bus certificate. Bus classes are free and any expense incurred that is related to school bus certification is reimbursed.

Salary: Starts at $18.87 per hour for permanent drivers, $18.87/hour for substitute drivers.

Benefits: Full benefits if working 30 hours or more per week; Partial if working 20 hours per week.
