Job summary

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of students to and from schools or other destinations in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, rules of the State Board of Education, and policies and procedures of the District School Board of Pasco County. This position includes working with exceptional students. Must be flexible, able to adjust hours and geographic area according to immediate needs, and willing to assist on any route. Must be able to operate any non-CDL vehicle used by the District for transporting students, including but not limited to Multipurpose passenger vehicles, Passenger Cars, Type A School Buses, etc.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited institution
• Two years' experience working with K-12 students
• OR
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS

• Valid and current Florida Class E Driver’s License
• Valid and current American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Must maintain a driving record that meets the standards of the District Safe Driver Plan.
• Driver's License must be maintained as a condition of continued employment
