Make a Difference in Your Community - Bus Driver Opportunity at Elmhurst YMCA!

You’ll transport children and/or adults for various programs and trips for the YMCA. Provides supervision and direction to children and/or adults.

Pay range for this role starts at $16.20 per hour, Monday-Friday schedule.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  1. Transport children/adults to and from program activities and site(s).
  2. Perform daily safety inspections of bus/van.
  3. Report any conditions on bus/van needing attention or correction to supervisor.
  4. Oversee conduct of children/adults on bus/van.
  5. Follow all driver guidelines and standards.
  6. Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
  7. May supervise a group of program participants.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Valid CDL with passenger endorsement highly desirable.

Child Abuse Prevention - Supports the YMCA's commitment to child abuse prevention by:

  • Reporting hazards or suspicious behavior to supervisor.
  • Following policies related to child safety, monitoring, and supervision.
  • Completing all required child abuse prevention training.
