Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a part-time Bus Driver for Monticello, IN to transport residents to appointments and activities with safety and compassion at the forefront.

The role emphasizes stability, reliability, and a supportive presence within a team dedicated to excellent resident care. CDL may be required for larger buses; High School diploma or GED is acceptable with related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be 25 years of age or older; embodies CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, Excellence.
• Valid CDL license required for communities with buses carrying 15+ passengers; good standing Operator's License.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments and activities.
• Provide safe, secure travel with ramps, restraints, and lifts as needed.
• Create a comforting, calm, and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure reliable transportation service.

Part-time Bus Driver Opportunity at Monticello Health

The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities.

Skills Needed:

• Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to safely transport residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
• Safety Focused: Ability to provide safe and secure travel for our residents.
• Supportive Presence: Create a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
• Must be 25 years of age or older. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships andExcellence
• Valid CDL license required for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers.
• Good standing and current Operator's License.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
