Job summary

American Senior Communities is hiring a Full-Time Bus Driver for our Indianapolis location. You will transport residents to appointments and activities, ensuring safety and a comforting presence throughout each trip.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, and a valid CDL license where applicable, with on-site work and CARE-values driven service.

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL license required for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers.
• Good standing and current Operator’s License.
• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for residents to appointments and activities.
• Ensure safety during transport using ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
• Create a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Work with the care team to ensure residents receive timely and safe transportation.

Full-Time Days

The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities.

Skills Needed:

• Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to safely transport residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
• Safety Focused: Ability to provide safe and secure travel for our residents.
• Supportive Presence: Create a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
