Job summary

Harlan Independent Schools is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to transport students on designated routes in a safe and punctual manner.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspections, adherence to schedules, assisting with loading and unloading disabled students if needed, and performing emergency drills as required by state regulations.

Qualifications

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Bus Driver. Operate a school bus driver over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, picking up and discharging students;provide safe and efficient transportation for district students to and from school, special events, and field trips;perform daily inspections and operator maintenance of vehicle;assist in the loading and unloading of physically and mentally handicapped students if necessary. Perform emergency bus evaluation drills as required by Kentucky Administration Regulations.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Kentucky Commercial Class DB driver's license, including passenger endorsement;school bus certificate;must pass driving record check, criminal background check, CAN check, TB skin test. Subject to random drug testing.
