Job summary

Ivy Kids is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to safely transport children to and from our Johns Creek childcare center. You will maintain a calm, nurturing environment during transit and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities include route adherence, daily vehicle checks, and proper response to emergencies with trained procedures. This full-time role requires energy, strong communication, and a commitment to child safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.
• Strong communication and safety focus required during transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during transportation, including proper use of safety restraints.
• Develop and follow designated routes for transporting children to and from the childcare center.
• Perform daily checks on the bus to ensure it is in proper working condition and report issues.
• Be prepared to handle emergencies or accidents during transit with knowledge of procedures, first aid, and evacuation protocols.
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude with children and staff.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development on bus safety and child passenger safety.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.

Job Summary

As a Bus Driver at Ivy Kids, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe transportation of children to and from the childcare center and maintaining a positive and nurturing environment during transit. This position requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine commitment to children's safety and well-being.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during transportation, including proper use of safety restraints, monitoring behavior, and maintaining a calm and secure atmosphere.
• Develop and follow designated routes for transporting children to and from the childcare center.
• Perform daily checks on the bus to ensure it is in proper working condition, reporting any issues or concerns to the Center Director.
• Be prepared to handle emergencies or accidents during transit, including knowledge of emergency procedures, first aid, and evacuation protocols.
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude when interacting with children and staff.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to bus safety, child passenger safety, and other relevant topics to enhance job performance and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
