Sylvania in the United States (Illinois) seeks a Bus Driver (CDL with S endorsement) to transport students on scheduled routes. Location is Bus Garage; pay rate $26.50/hr with a $1,500 signing bonus after three months.
You must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL with S endorsement and school bus permit, a clean driving record, and pass DOT drug tests. Previous school bus driving experience is preferred.

Pay Rate: $26.50/hr. A one-time $1,500.00 signing bonus will be awarded to newly hired drivers after the newly hired driver has worked for three consecutive months during the term of agreement.
Summary:
This position is responsible for the safe transportation of students over specified routes according to a time schedule. The driver in this position must comply with traffic regulations, along with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Language Skills
Communicates clearly both in oral and written format with all constituents of the District 113 community. Effectively present information and respond to questions from constituency groups. Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with students, guardians, staff and the school community. Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Mathematical and Technical Skills
Basic arithmetic, time management, scheduling, distance & speed calculations, passenger counting & capacity planning. Vehicle inspection knowledge, ability to follow maps and routing sheets, mechanical awareness, defensive driving & safety procedures, ability to operate a two way radio & radio communication system properly.
Must have computer skills to access district emails, information and training.
Reasoning Ability
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of verbal and written instructions and deal with multiple abstract and concrete variables.
Contacts Outside Your Own Department:
Build positive relationships with constituents of the District 113 community that includes colleagues, students, guardians, teachers, school staff, administrative team, and the Board of Education.
