Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated seeks a CDL Bus Driver to deliver and pick up blood mobiles at diverse blood drives. Schedule varies with blood drive calendar; must be able to work weekends.

This role requires a valid CDL and strong customer service skills, with the ability to follow SOPs in a regulated environment. Prior driving experience is preferred, supporting a safety-focused team.

Position Overview

The CDL Bus Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up blood mobiles at various blood drives.

Essential Functions

• Bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups
• Must be able to work a variable PRN schedule for bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups from our depot location to various blood drives
• Understands and supports the quality goals of the company
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
• Courier duties as assigned
• Deliveries of extra supplies to drives that need additional items
• Other duties as assigned or required

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and valid CDL Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
• One year job related experience is preferred
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the buses used by The Blood Connection
• Excellent customer services skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Abilityto follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environment
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors and co-workers
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
