Job summary

American Senior Communities in Connersville, IN is seeking a PRN Bus Driver to transport residents to appointments and activities. This on-site role supports safe, reliable mobility for our community while upholding CARE values.

As a Bus Driver, you will assist residents, operate buses with proper licensing, and collaborate with a caring team. This position offers Flexible scheduling as a part-time PRN opportunity with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL license for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers.
• Good standing and current Operator’s License.
• Previous transportation or care settings experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to residents for appointments and activities.
• Maintain safety and security during travel.
• Assist residents with mobility and comfort during transfers.

Hickory Creek at Columbus is now hiring a PRN Bus Driver!

The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities.

Skills Needed:

• Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to safely transport residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
• Safety Focused: Ability to provide safe and secure travel for our residents.
• Supportive Presence: Create a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
• Must be 25 years of age or older. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships andExcellence
• Valid CDL license required for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers.
• Good standing and current Operator’s License.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
