Job summary

Goodwill Industries of El Paso Inc. seeks an entry-level janitorial worker to clean Sun Metro buses during the evening shift in El Paso, TX. Responsibilities include interior cleaning, trash pickup, window cleaning, and maintaining clean dash boards and seats.

Applicants should be able to work 6:00 PM–2:30 AM, stand/walk for long periods, and handle cleaning chemicals safely. Prior custodial experience and reliable transportation are preferred.

Qualifications

• HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.
• ONE YEAR OF CUSTODIAN/JANITORIAL WORK.

Responsibilities

• To clean all interior windows of buses.
• Pick up any trash surrounding the aisles of buses.
• Sweep and mop buses.
• Regular use of cleaning chemicals.
• Clean dash boards and railings.
• Fully clean all the seats of the buses.
• Perform these and other duties assigned in an effective, efficient and safe manner.
• Ability to work with chemicals used for cleaning purposes.
• Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment in working order.
• Demonstrates good work habits, maintaining a good attitude.
• Ensures all safety rules are adhered to.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc. and persons receiving services.
• Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the building property
• Responsible for maintaining the required company uniform and ensuring a professional appearance, and attitude at all times.
• Assists in other areas as requested.

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform janitorial service as a bus cleaner for Sun Metro buses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Perform janitorial service as a bus cleaner for Sun Metro buses.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to mobilize (walk and stand) at least 6 hours per day is required.
