SA Recycling is looking for a Burner/Torch Operator in New Castle, Pennsylvania. The role involves cutting oversized ferrous materials using an oxy-fuel torch and requires working outdoors in all weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
The successful candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED, and experience with Oxy-Fuel torch operation is preferred. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts and a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, and 3 days on, 3 days off.
The Burner/Torch Operator is responsible for cutting oversize or large ferrous material through use of an oxy-fuel torch (torch cart) to a size acceptable as determined by the steel mill. As a Burner/Torch Operator you must be able to work outside in all weather conditions while wearing the appropriate safety and weather protection gear. The working hours for this position are from 6:00am to 6:30pm, and work a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off and then 3 days on, 3 days off.
