Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is seeking a Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) to provide individualized, goal-directed care using the nursing process within the 5W Burn Trauma Stepdown Unit.

You will collaborate with the Burn and Trauma teams, participate in onboarding new graduates, and support certification goals in Med-Surg, Burn, and Trauma areas. Schedule includes 3-12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with equal opportunity employer policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and ensuring patient/family outcomes.
• Interacts with health care team to achieve desired patient outcomes.
