Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Physical Therapist to join the Burn Rehab team. You will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for burn patients across the continuum of care, collaborating with physicians, nurses, OTs, case managers, and rehab specialists to maximize outcomes.

You will provide early mobilization in acute and critical care, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning while maintaining accurate documentation in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Georgia Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain prior to start.
• BLS certification required.
• Acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, critical care, trauma, or burn experience preferred but not required.
• New graduates with strong clinical rotations and a passion for acute care are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with burn injuries and related conditions.
• Develop personalized therapy plans focused on mobility, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary burn care team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
• Provide early mobilization and rehabilitation services in acute care and critical care settings.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and home exercise programs.
• Participate in discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
