Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment operation is essential.

As a Buried Equipment Operator, you will perform duties related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities in a safe and effective manner.

What you'll do...

Safely operate equipment on the jobsite, which may include but is not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer.

• Place conduit and cable

Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite.

Responsible for site setup and cleanup.

Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks.

Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction.

Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers; flag traffic when necessary.

Follow instructions accurately.

Who we are looking for...

Must have experience with heavy equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations.

Basic ability to use small tools/hand tools.

Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.

Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License preferred.
• Proficient in using locators to identify utilities safely.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.

Must be safety-conscious.

• Availability to work overtime, after hours, weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as needed.
• Previous construction or utility construction experience preferred.
