Job summary

Kinetic, a business unit of Uniti, is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber and coaxial cable from the network hub to customers' residences. The role requires traveling overnight as needed and a safety-first mindset to ensure quality work.

You will read and interpret work drawings, complete required documentation, and promote Kinetic products and services while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience installing buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cables.
• Ability to travel overnight including out-of-state as needed.
• Strong safety awareness and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from the network hub to the customer residence.
• Use technical expertise and customer focus to connect customers with products and services.
• Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete required paperwork.
• Promote Kinetic products and services to customers.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
• Operate a handheld computer to retrieve and clear job tasks.
• Conduct locates on underground facilities as applicable.
• Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
