Job summary

Uniti’s Kinetic buried drop team is seeking a field technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cables from the network hub to customers’ homes. This position requires overnight travel and a safety-sensitive environment.

You will interpret drawings, complete paperwork, promote Kinetic services, and train new staff. The role includes physical tasks, lifting up to 70 pounds, and outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Basic technology and math skills required.
• Ability to distinguish colors in cable systems.
• Willingness to work overtime, callouts and standby as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Able to pass pre-employment DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cables from hub to customer residence.
• Use technical knowledge to connect customers to Kinetic services.
• Interpret work drawings and complete required paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new technicians on daily tasks.
