City of New York is seeking a permanent Clerical Associate to support the Bureau of Environmental Disease Prevention. The role reports to the Senior Administrative Manager and helps with daily administrative operations across five programs.
Responsibilities include facilities liaison, reception duties, mail delivery, supply distribution, and preparing folders and mass mailings. Strong customer service and typing skills are required; NY residency is a consideration.

The mission of the Bureau of Environmental Disease Prevention is to prevent environmental disease in homes, communities, and the workplace, and to protect health by promoting healthy environments and health equity. The position will report to the Bureau’s Senior Administrative Manager, who is the Bureau’s admin lead, and will support daily administrative operations for all five programs within the Bureau.

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
A strong customer service background, excellent oral and written communication skills, courteous telephone manner, basic computer literacy with the desire to learn additional computer skills.Ability to perform some heavy lifting.
