Job summary

Coldspring is seeking a Bundler to prepare granite shipments for transport. You will operate overhead cranes, assemble crates, and package products with attention to stone tolerances and carrier requirements.

You will also manage shipping labels in the JDE system, coordinate with forklift drivers, and maintain crate inventories while adhering to safety protocols. This is a full-time, on-site role in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required; training provided by Col dspring for operators.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties to avoid interruptions in production.
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking with emphasis on time management, efficiency, and prioritization.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to read work orders or tickets including drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure in imperial and metric.
• Team-oriented, safety-focused, and willing to cross-train as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use overhead cranes to move granite stone as needed.
• Coordinate tickets and pallets by customer, carrier, date, or destination.
• Cut and assemble lumber into crates and bottoms for shipping.
• Package products considering stone tolerance to prevent damage.
• Understand packaging requirements for various carriers.
• Use banding machine to bundle granite shipments and prepare crates.
• Operate stretch wrap machine to wrap pallets.
• Scan orders in JDE to print shipping labels and bundling tickets.
• Attach labels with an industrial stapler.
• Coordinate with forklift driver to move and sort pallets for shipment.
• Route products for additional finishing or assembly as needed.
• Maintain adequate prepared crate pieces or bottoms for standard sizes.

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 5am - 3:30pm & Fridays as needed; overtime as needed

JOB SUMMARY: The Bundler is responsible for bundling a wide variety of granite stone products when production is complete to prepare them for shipment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Use various overhead cranes to move granite stone as needed.
• Coordinate production tickets and completed granite products to sort them onto pallets based on customer, shipping carrier, shipment date and/or destination.
• Use chop saw and nail gun to cut and assemble lumber into crates and bottoms that are necessary for shipping.
• Apply knowledge of stone tolerance to package products in the most effective way possible and to protect it from damage and staining during shipment.
• Maintain an understanding of specific packaging requirements for a variety of shipping carriers.
• Use a handheld banding machine and assembled crates or bottoms to bundle granite shipments.
• Operate the automatic stretch wrap machine to wrap pallets in shrink wrap.
• Scan completed orders into JDE system to print appropriate shipping label and bundling ticket.
• Use industrial stapler to attach the labels to the appropriate shipment.
• Coordinate with the forklift driver to move and sort pallets ready for shipment.
• Route granite products that need additional finishing or assembly to the appropriate production area as needed.
• Maintain an appropriate level of prepared crate pieces or bottoms for standard size products to improve efficiency.
