Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Terminal Operator to safely unload railcars, load trailers, measure inventories, and enter data accurately. You will maintain housekeeping and perform basic maintenance while following safety rules.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years in heavy manufacturing, and the ability to operate forklifts and similar equipment in a dusty industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial bulk material handling environment is preferred.
• 1–2 years in heavy manufacturing, mining, or industrial plant operations.
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
• Able to operate forklifts and be comfortable around heavy equipment in dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Unload railcars safely and cleanly; load pneumatic trailers and dump trucks.
• Operate mobile and stationary equipment (skid steers, forklifts, excavators) per safety rules.
• Measure and reconcile inventory; log daily shipments and scale data.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform basic maintenance on terminal equipment.
• Inspect areas for hazards and document findings; read equipment manuals as needed.
• Assist with ordering parts and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
