Job summary

Palmetto Corp. seeks a Bulk Tanker Driver to safely transport dry bulk materials to construction sites and plants.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload with pneumatic systems, and maintain accurate records while complying with DOT rules. Applicants should have a CDL Class A with tanker endorsement, 2+ years of professional driving experience, and the ability to read schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with clean driving record and tanker endorsement.
• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably bulk tanker operations.
• Knowledge of pneumatic tanker operation and safe material handling procedures.
• Ability to read and follow delivery schedules, manifests and supervisor instructions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bulk tanker truck to transport dry bulk materials to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and DOT compliance.
• Load and unload materials using pneumatic systems, hoses and valves.
• Maintain accurate records of materials hauled, delivery times and vehicle inspections.
• Ensure proper handling to avoid contamination or spillage.
• Monitor gauges, pressure readings and flow rates during loading/unloading.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant operators and site personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols, DOT regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Perform basic truck maintenance and report repair needs.
