Job summary

Tower Labs is seeking a detail-oriented Bulk Powder Blending Technician for the 1st shift in Essex/Centerbrook, CT. You’ll blend, weigh ingredients, and manage batch paperwork in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities include operating blenders, sizing equipment, and forklift use while ensuring clean, compliant process execution. Training is provided for forklift and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs regularly.
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Self-starter with motivation to learn in GMP environment.
• Ability to read and follow directions; complete paperwork in English.
• Basic math skills for measurements and batch records.
• Ability to operate forklift (training provided).
• Demonstrated team player with good communication.
• Willingness to wear required PPE and maintain sanitation.

Salary Range: $21.50 To $23.00 Hourly

Join a fast-paced pharmaceutical production team where precise blending keeps high-quality products on schedule. We’re looking for a detail-driven Blend Technician to support our manufacturing team in a GMP environment.

Entry-level manufacturing role in Centerbrook/Essex starting at $21.50/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform a variety of physical and administrative tasks in a production environment. Compounding blends of various nutritional supplement & other consumable powders. Operate industrial size blenders, mixers, sizing equipment, ovens, scales. Make observations, take samples and complete batch paperwork.

Learn FDA pharmaceutical cGMP and learn to drive sit down forklift vehicle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Load and unload ingredients/product into and out of large blending machines and drums in accordance with directions on Batch Record (BPR). Ingredients most often are powder form contained in 50lb bags. Frequent maneuvering of 50lb bags with ergonomic assists.
• Weigh ingredients on scales; record observations
• Strictly follow procedures as detailed in BPR and complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely. Paperwork includes, but is not limited to, BPR’s and equipment usage logs.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, drums/containers, rooms and facility to ensure sanitary working conditions in accordance with cGMPs.
• Take ownership and be accountable for the quality of all work produced.
• Transport bulk powders and packaging materials between warehouse and production areas; includes operation of forklift and other material handling equipment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

This is an active, hands-on production role. You should be comfortable with:

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs. on a regular basis
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy in tasks
• Self starter with high level of motivation
• Ability to read and follow directions, complete paperwork and communicate effectively in English
• Basic math skills
• Ability to drive forklift truck (training provided)
• Demonstrated team player
• Ability to wear the following PPE and sanitary requirements: dust mask, safety shoes & glasses, hearing protection, hairnet, beard guard, and gloves. Uniforms provided by Company.
