Job summary

Ardent Mills in Lake City MN is seeking a Bulk Plant Loader for night shift (6:30p-6:30a). The role requires reliable operation of the plant, cross-training across milling operations, and adherence to safety and GMP policies.

The individual will interact with CSR’s, truck drivers, and rail crews, ensuring quality and timeliness in production. Responsibilities include leading when needed, data entry, blending flour to spec, and maintaining documentation with lab instruments.

• Analyze flour with lab instruments. Safely operate lab analytical instruments.
• Enter data into plant control system for record keeping. Create COA as needed.
• Must have good communication skills for interaction with CSR’s, truck drivers and railroad switch crew and all other employees.
• Be available for overtime as required for daily and weekend operations of the plant.
• Assist in operations on an as needed basis as directed by the Production Supervisor.
• Actively participate in department meetings and facility teams relating to the improvement of plant safety, quality, innovation and efficiency.
• Perform any tasks reasonably assigned.

Your role:

As a Bulk Plant Loader, you will be responsible for ensuring that Ardent Mills products meet customer requirements at the end of the milling process. The Bulk Plant Loader reports to the Production Manager and will be expected to carry out all their activities with reliability, integrity, compliance in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner. Essential skills and experience:

• Follow verbal and written instructions (English).

• Basic computer skills and have the ability to learn new software for production.

Good to have:

• One year operating mobile equipment including forklift, bobcat, or Track Mobile; will train, as needed.

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Ascend and descend stairs throughout the facility.
• Climb ladders (both step and extension).
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Able to work in a dusty environment and wear respiratory protection.

Other considerations:

• Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.
• Must be willing to get cross-trained in at least one other position for development within the facility and to provide any relief duties as needed.
• Must be willing to work assigned shifts, weekends, holidays and opposing shifts as needed.

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

This position is based at an Ardent Mills production facility and requires regular on-site presence to perform the essential functions of the role. Work schedules may vary based on business and operational needs and could include shift work, overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities where applicable.

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $23.61 - $25.61, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
