Job summary

Shell in the United States is seeking a Process Operator in Michigan to manage packaging of bulk materials into vessels and oversee the loading/offloading processes for trucks and rail cars, ensuring accurate orders and safe operations.

The role involves sampling, blending across three chemistries, and packing into totes, drums, and bottles while adhering to daily checks and paperwork requirements for on-time delivery of quality products.

Qualifications

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Relevant work experience in a similar industry is preferred.
• Strong computer literacy and basic SAP knowledge are assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage the loading & offloading process of trucks and rail cars to ensure correct products and volumes.
• Prepare hose connections for receipt of raw materials from bulk trucks/rail cars.
• Verify receiving vessels can accommodate material transfer volumes.
• Manipulate drummed/packaged materials using manual and powered equipment.
• Acquire samples of bulk and packaged materials as required.
• Perform blending and packing processes for bulk finished products across chemistries.
• Take daily visual level and temperature readings and perform related checks.
• Complete paperwork and computer tasks to ensure timely, accurate delivery of quality product.
• Follow HSSE guidelines and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Support emergency response activities as needed.
