Road & Rail Services in Tampa, FL is hiring a Bulk Material Transfer Operator for day shift. This hands-on role moves bulk products between railcars and tank trucks using transfer equipment, with outdoor work in heat and varying weather.

You will connect hoses, monitor transfers, inspect equipment, and maintain records while following safety procedures. No prior rail experience required; training is provided to candidates with a strong safety mindset and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience with outdoor or physically demanding work preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Able to work outdoors in heat, rain, and humidity.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Connecting and disconnecting transfer hoses, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
• Transferring bulk materials between railcars and tank trucks.
• Inspecting hoses, fittings, railcars, and equipment before and after transfers.
• Monitoring transfer operations and reporting leaks, damage, or unusual conditions.
• Climbing railcars and working safely from elevated platforms.
• Wearing required PPE and safety gear.
• Maintaining accurate operating records and required documentation.
• Keeping the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
• Following company, customer, environmental, and safety procedures.
• Assisting coworkers with additional terminal duties as assigned.
