Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a load-out associate to ensure safe and efficient truck loading, inspecting trailers and railcars, and properly distributing product types and weights. You will complete bills of lading, train new staff, maintain scales, and follow safety regulations; CDL required, high school diploma, and 1-2 years in load-out.

Qualifications

• Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able perform basic mathematical computations.
• Must be able to multi-task and be calm under pressure.
• Must be able to work shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes.
• CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of truck loading.
• Inspect truck trailers and railcars to ensure they are free from containments.
• Distribute different product types into the appropriate trucks and load the correct weight for each shipment.
• Complete bill of lading for truck shipments.
• Train new employees on equipment related to load out and fuel charging areas.
• Cross-train in other production areas as needed.
• Keep truck scales clean and maintain a water-free environment at scales.
• Complete daily equipment check reports.
• Adhere to safety rules and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
