Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company is seeking a Bulk Driver to deliver pre-ordered beverages to assigned accounts on established routes from our Wichita operation.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, clean MVR, and ability to operate both automatic and manual trucks, with pallet jack experience preferred and PIT certification encouraged on hire. You will ensure loads are secured and customers are served professionally.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience required.
  • Must be 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Class A CDL with a clean MVR; license must cover both automatic and manual.
  • Prior experience using powered pallet jack preferred; PIT certification on hire.
  • Capable of driving both a manual and an automatic truck.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-ordered products to accounts on assigned routes.
  • Check load stability and deliver to customers; move products from truck to ground or shelves.
  • Pickup company property from customers and secure assets.
  • Create customer invoices and settle accounts daily using computer systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and follow up to meet expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Summary

The Bulk Driver is responsible for driving and delivering pre-ordered product to assigned accounts on specified routes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Check accuracy and stability of the load. Delivers products to customers on assigned route, typically receiving personnel at large customer establishments. Move, lift, and load product and company property on and from the trailer.
  • Pickup company property from customer locations and collectreturns. Secure company assets.
  • Utilize computer technology to create customer invoices, collect money due, and settle all customer accounts daily.
  • Provideexcellent customer service and meets customer’s expectations through communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow-up.
  • Ensurecompliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures including DOT regulations.
  • Collaboratecross-functionally with other departments to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean driving record within MVR guidelines. CDL license needs to cover both automatic and manual vehicles.
  • Prior experience using powered pallet jack preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
  • Capable of driving both a manual and automatic (CDL) truck.
Physical Requirements
  • Speaking: Constantly with customers (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports)
  • Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
  • Typing: Frequently using electronic devices for day-to-day business (order confirmation, texting)
  • Mobility: Frequent travel throughout customer locations (walking in backrooms, aisles, greeting customers)
  • Bending/Squatting: Frequently (lifting and placing product from the truck to the ground or from pallets to shelf)
  • Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
  • Pushing/pulling: Frequent use of manual carts
  • Climbing: Frequent entering and exiting the cab of a truck
  • Driving: Constant travel between customer locations
  • Ability to work in environments where temperatures vary with the seasons
