Job summary

El Super is seeking a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk for the Phoenix - Indian School store. Under direct supervision you will assist customers, stock and rotate the cheese and deli displays, and keep the department clean and welcoming during two shifts.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and basic PC/Outlook skills. A Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all food-related positions.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Replenish product and ensure accurate stocking.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.

The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
