Job summary

El Super is hiring a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk for the Riverside #57 location to join the Store Operations Team. The starting rate is $16.90 per hour, with duties including assisting customers, replenishing the Bulk Deli, and maintaining displays.

Ideal candidates will read and follow simple instructions, communicate effectively with customers and staff, and be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds. A food handler card is required, and equal employment opportunities are provided by the company.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.

The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
