Job summary

El Super in Santa Ana, CA is hiring a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. The role focuses on friendly service, assisting customers, and maintaining the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.

You'll work a two-shift schedule with lifting requirements and food-handling responsibilities; Food Handler Card or its equivalent is required. El Super is part of the Chedraui USA family and offers opportunities within a growing grocery brand.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service.
• This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
• The role includes shifts in a fast-paced grocery environment with lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as essential functions.
