Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Bulk Cheese Handler for a Plymouth, WI facility. The role pays $24.20/hour and offers 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts with hours 7:30am-3:30pm, 3:30pm-11:30pm, or 11:30pm-7:30am. This is a potential-to-hire position.

You will maintain sanitation, de-box, weigh and prepare cheese, operate cutters and packaging equipment, and log production data. The job requires basic math, reading safety rules, standing 8-10 hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a temperature range of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand safety rules, procedures, and work instructions.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions; documenting and entering production data.
• Detail-oriented with good communication; able to work independently or in a team.
• Standing and walking 8-10 hour shifts; ability to regularly lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation in line with GMPs and safety policies.
• De-box, unwrap, inspect, clean, weigh, measure, and prepare cheese per specs.
• Load, space, and stock product on lines to prevent downtime.
• Operate cutters, lifting equipment, pallet trucks, scanners, and packaging equipment.
• Open, re-work, trim, pack, seal, and palletize finished goods.
• Review production sheets for pricing, labeling, packaging, and orders.
• Perform quality checks and verify machine safety features before production.
• Complete production records and enter data into reporting systems.
• Communicate order requirements, quality concerns, and safety issues to line personnel.
• Rotate through line positions and perform duties as needed.

Bulk Cheese Handler Responsibilities

• Maintaining personal, equipment, and work-area sanitation in compliance with GMP’s and safety policies
• De-boxing, unwrapping, inspecting, cleaning, weighing, measuring, and preparing cheese per customer and order specifications
• Loading, spacing, and stocking product on processing and packaging lines to prevent downtime
• Operating cutters, lifting equipment, pallet trucks, handheld scanners, and packaging equipment
• Opening, re-working, and trimming product; packing, sealing, labeling, and palletizing finished goods
• Reviewing production sheets to ensure accurate pricing, labeling, packaging, and order assembly
• Performing quality checks and verifying machine safety features prior to production
• Accurately completing production records and entering data into reporting systems
• Communicating order requirements, quality concerns, and safety issues to line personnel
• Rotating through line positions and performing assigned duties as needed

Requirements for Bulk Cheese Handler

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and understand safety rules, procedures, and work instructions

• Detail-oriented and effective communication skills; ability to work and communicate while working independently or within a team
