State of West Virginia seeks an experienced technician to maintain and repair heating, cooling, and building systems in public facilities. You will use meters and tools to diagnose issues, estimate material needs, and perform essential maintenance.

Requires a valid driver's license; shift work or call-back may be required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a relevant apprenticeship or technical schooling, and four years of related experience.

Formación

• Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades.
• Graduation from a standard four-year high school or GED or four year apprenticeship program or two year post secondary technical school.
• Special Requirement: EPA-certified refrigerant recycling technician for some positions.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair heating, cooling and general operation of public buildings.
• Use diagnostic meters and tools to assess equipment performance.
• Calculate and order materials for replacements and repairs.
• Occasionally work in asbestos or environmental issues when trained.
