Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a growing environmental consulting practice focused on hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance services. This role emphasizes managing client relationships, guiding complex programs, mentoring staff, and driving business growth alongside technical execution.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee multidisciplinary project teams, and help expand existing accounts

Qualifications

  • Current Cal/OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) certification required.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Public Health, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in hazardous materials consulting, industrial hygiene, environmental consulting, or related services.
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships, project portfolios, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality, and hazardous building materials regulations.
  • Experience developing proposals, scopes of work, and environmental consulting budgets.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Proven ability to balance technical excellence, project delivery, and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, developing long-term relationships and acting as a strategic advisor on hazardous materials and industrial hygiene matters.
  • Manage a portfolio of asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality, water intrusion, and environmental compliance projects from proposal through completion.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, contract management, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare and oversee proposals, statements of work, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Identify opportunities within existing client accounts and support business development efforts through proposal development and client engagement.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers, consultants, technicians, and field staff.
  • Direct technical investigations, remediation oversight, compliance assessments, and environmental sampling programs.
  • Collaborate with environmental engineers, geologists, industrial hygienists, and other technical professionals on complex projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
  • Contribute to practice growth initiatives, operational improvements, and strategic planning efforts.
