Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a skilled Painter-5 for on-site work in Manati, PR. The role covers painting, carpentry, flooring, cabinet work, and related tasks under supervisor direction.

The position requires 5+ years of progressive experience in painting and carpentry, interior/exterior painting expertise, wall coverings, drywall/plaster finishing, and the ability to estimate projects and order materials. Practical carpentry and maintenance skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in painting and carpentry.
• Skilled in interior and exterior painting and wall coverings.
• Experience estimating projects and ordering materials.
• Knowledge of drywall and plaster finishing; tile and furniture finishing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs painting, carpentry, flooring and cabinetry tasks under supervision.
• Uses wall covering techniques and prepares surfaces for finishing.
• Removes furniture, equipment, shelving and fixtures from work areas.
• Inspects surfaces for damage and repairs drywall/plaster as needed.
• Ensures safe use of tools and maintains a safe working environment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Installs and/or repairs drywall and plaster. Applies corner beads, tapes, patches, sands, strips, washes and primes surfaces, returns areas to working order when project is completed.* Inspects various damaged surfaces (e.g., plaster, drywall, water-damaged areas, ceiling and wall cracks) for remodeling.* Must use tools and equipment appropriately while contributing to a safe working environment.60% or greater* Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.Less than 20%Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMINIMUM REQUIREDPREFERREDEducation/training* High School Diploma or equivalentYears of relevant experience* Minimum 5 years progressive experience in multiple areas such as painting and carpentrySkills and knowledge* The job requires skill reflecting knowledge of several technical fields that include a thorough understanding of the techniques and principles and ability to modify or adapt them as needed.
