Job summary

Riverhead Building Supply is seeking a proactive Counter Salesperson to assist customers with product selection and purchases, both in person and over the phone. You will support deliveries, quotes, and order coordination, leveraging ERP/CRM systems to keep records accurate.

We value professional appearance, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to work weekends. Training is available, and there are growth opportunities within our team.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales of building materials and millwork preferred.
• Well spoken with a professional appearance.
• Familiarity with building supplies.
• Experience with ERP and CRM is a plus.
• Strong mathematical, language, computer and email skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Some weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection and purchases.
• Provide exceptional service in person and over the phone.
• Process sales transactions and customer orders using ERP system.
• Coordinate deliveries and communicate estimated arrival times.
• Obtain quotes and lead times from manufacturers and vendors.
• Manage order inquiries and resolve customer issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate sales and order records.
