  • Oversee controls integration with critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, UPS systems, generators, and related equipment.
  • Supervise Junior Controls Engineers and provide technical direction to Lead Controls Engineers and other controls personnel, including work priorities, performance, training, and professional development.
  • Establish engineering standards, control sequences, technical procedures, and documentation to support reliable and consistent operations.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident response, and corrective actions involving automation and control systems.
  • Oversee system testing, commissioning, upgrades, and controls-related activities supporting new installations and infrastructure expansion.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, IT, and external vendors to support technical projects and operational requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, energy efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Provide technical leadership across U.S. facilities and collaborate with international teams to support standardization, engineering improvements, and operational consistency.
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Building Management Systems (BMS), building automation, controls engineering, or related mission-critical infrastructure systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical leadership, engineering management, or supervision of controls engineering personnel.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Automated Logic (ALC) WebCTRL, Direct Digital Control (DDC), and building automation systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC controls, mechanical infrastructure, electrical systems, SCADA, and controls integration.
  • Experience overseeing complex automation and controls projects, including design, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system improvements.
  • Experience establishing technical standards, managing system reliability, and leading root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and develop engineering personnel while managing technical priorities across teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States and internationally, including France.

We recognize that experience and skills can come from different paths. Relevant professional, hands-on, educational, military, trade, and industry experience may all provide the skills and knowledge needed to succeed at DataOne.
