Position

BUILDING MAINTENANCE/HANDYMAN

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the general upkeep and repair of the apartment buildings and its grounds. This includes tasks like simple plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, as well as carpentry and painting.
• Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing light fixtures, and troubleshooting wiring issues.
• Repairs & Replacements: Repairing, painting or replacing damaged or malfunctioning components like walls, ceilings, doors, floors, and appliances.
• HVAC Systems: Maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Work Orders: Responding promptly to tenant requests, when assigned, providing excellent customer service, and addressing emergency maintenance needs.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and taking necessary steps to maintain a safe environment for residents.
• Collaboration: Working with property management and other team members to plan and execute maintenance work, and potentially overseeing specialized contractors.
