Job summary

Fayette Chamber of Commerce (GA) is seeking a full-time Building Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on county facilities, equipment, and grounds. The role covers carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related maintenance tasks.

The incumbent will inspect facilities, perform routine repairs, and respond to emergency maintenance needs. A high school diploma and a valid Georgia driver's license are required, with 1–2 years of related experience

Qualifications

• Knowledge and level of competency normally associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work.
• Experience equivalent to apprenticeship/internship or having held a similar position for 1–2 years.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspection of county facilities and equipment.
• Carry out general building maintenance, carpentry, masonry, painting, and related repair tasks.
• Perform routine electrical tasks and assist with lighting, outlets, switches and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues and repair fixtures, lines, and drains as needed.
• Handle HVAC and mechanical systems maintenance and minor emergency repairs.
